The following tours are scheduled daily in the summer season and by request the remainder of the year.

National Park Discover Tour 2.5 hrs $49 plus tax ($44 Blue Vista Guests)

Our most popular kayak tour! Tour the beautiful nearby islets of the Gulf Islands National Park and experience some of the highest concentrations of wildlife in the area including Harbour Seals, Sea Lions (seasonal), Bald Eagles, Otters, Starfish and more. View spectacular wave carved sand-stone.

Start with a 20 min orientation/instruction session followed by apprx. 2 hours on the water. This tour is the perfect length (based on guest feedback) for a morning or afternoon tour and is suitable for all levels including beginners.

Evening (Sunset) Tour 2 hrs $45 plus tax ($40 Blue Vista Guests)

A great activity before or after dinner! Participants often experience calm seas, little boat traffic, abundant wildlife and spectacular sunsets.

This tour is suitable for all skill levels including beginners.

National Park Explorer Tour 4 hrs $85 plus tax ($76.50 Blue Vista Guests)

If you are slightly more adventurous and want to see more of the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve then the 4 hr National Park Explorer Tour is the one for you. On this tour we explore the nearby islets of the Gulf Islands National Park where we experience some of the highest concentrations of wildlife in the region including Harbour Seals, Sea Lions (seasonal), Bald Eagles, Otters, Starfish and more. Then we transit Boat Passage a narrow gap between Saturna and Samuel Islands into Winter Cove. We stop at Winter Cove for a rest and our nutritious and delicious lunch. We return through scenic passages between the islands to our starting point.

This tour starts with a 20 min orientation/instructional session followed by 1.5 hours to 2 hrs of kayaking to our lunch stop at Winter Cove. Washroom facilities are available at Winter Cove. The return trip is approx 1.5 hrs of kayaking. This trip is often done in reverse to take advantage of current and weather conditions. Paddling time for the reverse itinerary is similar.

Family Tour 2.0 hrs $45/adults, $28 Youth 9-12, $15 Children 8 & under plus tax

Special Tours

Interested in a unique Sea Kayaking experience try one of our special tours. These are not scheduled daily but operate by request or when conditions are right! Contact us for dates and times.

Sea Lion Encounter 2.5 hrs $49 plus tax (October- May)

Take a special guided tour to the Sea Lion “haul out” on the nearby Belle Chain Islets of the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve. From October through May of each year Stellar and California Sea Lions inhabit this rocky domain. View from a safe distance these massive marine mammals in their natural habitat.

Saturna Winery Guided Tour 5 hrs $95 plus tax (May – October)

5 hrs Kayak rental plus $15 for appetizer platter

Combine an exciting sea kayaking adventure with wine tasting and light lunch at the Saturna Winery.

This tour starts with a 20 min orientation/instruction session followed by a leisurely 1.5 – 2.0 hrs scenic kayak trip to beautiful Winter Cove on Saturna Island. Saturna Winery staff will meet us at Winter Cove and shuttle us by van to the Winery. Participants can participate in wine tasting and enjoy the appetizer platter (included) on the bistro deck overlooking the vineyard. Participants are shuttled back to Winter Cove for our return trip by kayak.

A self-guided option is also available for more experienced kayakers. Let Mayne Island Kayaking provide your rental kayaks and make reservations for pick-up, wine tasting, appetizer platter or lunch.

Low Tide Tour 2.5 hours $49 plus tax

Join us for an interesting tour through the nearby islets with a focus on the spectacular intertidal life exposed at low tides. Our guides can help you identify the various starfish, seaweeds and other creatures only seen at low tide. No doubt a curious Harbour Seal or perching Bald Eagle will be spotted along the way.

This tour is suitable for all skill levels including beginners.

Full Moon/Bioluminescence Tour 2.0 hrs $45 plus tax

Take part in a unique late evening paddling experience. Watch the full moon rise over Bennett Bay from your kayak then paddle in the moonlight around the bay. Watch the water glow as your paddle disturbs the light emitting plankton.

This tour is suitable for participants with some paddling experience.
